A prominent Republican on Loudoun County's Board of Supervisors is now on board with moving the county's statue of a Confederate soldier sitting outside the county courthouse in Leesburg. Supervisor Ron Meyer told WMAL the county needs to ask for permission from the General Assembly to move the statue, and then he would like to see it placed in a nearby battlefield.

A Virginia woman has been sentenced to more than three years in prison for poisoning her coworkers' coffee with Windex and dish soap. Loudoun County Commonwealth's Attorney Jim Plowman announced the sentence Thursday for 33-year-old Mayda Rivera Juarez of Sterling.

A Virginia woman was sentenced to nearly four years in jail after she poured Windex into her office coffee machine in an effort to make her boss sick. Mayda Rivera Juarez in February pleaded guilty to adulteration of food with intent to injure or kill and was handed her 3 1/2-year prison sentence Tuesday, WTOP reported.
